Mission

Our mission is to help reflect teachers' immense value through direct grants.

Program

Reaward Our Teachers is a DonoAnyone can make an appreciation grant directly to a teacher they nominate and use employer matching to magnify the impact.

Background on Teacher Giving.

Teachers empower and inspire our children. We value our teachers' work and their compensation needs to reflect that.

One economic analysis estimates that teachers' average pay should be 2x current levels in order to better capture their value.

82% of teachers at some point need to work multiple jobs to make ends meet.   Teacher Salary Project Survey

55% of teachers want to leave the profession, pay being a core challenge (2022 NEA survey )

The good news is that 78% of people want teachers to be paid more. AP-NORC poll

The teacher pay-value gap is particularly alarming in early childhood education.

The early childhood years are an enormous opportunity to enrich a child’s learning. 90% of a child’s brain is formed by age 6. Children who receive a high-quality early childhood education are significantly more likely to go to college and graduate school, live healthier lives, and contribute to society. JAMA Pediatrics 2018

We believe that early education is even more critical than higher education. Yet, teacher compensation is the lowest, even when education and experience are accounted for. This is why our STARS Fund is focused on teachers who make a difference during the early years.
